Now Perching at the Prospect Park Zoo

No need for binoculars to view our birder’s slideshow!

From talking crows to high-flying hawks, the Prospect Park Zoo’s 12 acres are a birdwatcher’s haven. The newest additions to our outdoor aviary are peacocks and an elegant black swan. Raptors, including a great horned owl named “Snickers” and a pair of red-tails, roost in the treetops along Discovery Trail. Rose-breasted cockatoos have moved into the Animal Lifestyles building, and eye-catching parrots and lories flock together on branches in Animals in Our Lives. Come check out the Zoo’s winged wonders, and don’t forget to say “Hi” to Sammy the fishing crow…who may answer you back!
