Julie Larsen Maher©WCS   Stare Down at the Zoo
Whooo’s that staring at you? New to the Prospect Park Zoo, a pair of white-faced scops owls are fixing their big, orange eyes on visitors to the Animal Lifestyles building. These striking birds are native to Africa.

Regal Kitties at the Prospect Park Zoo
They may look like the fattest felines you’ve ever seen, but the Prospect Park Zoo’s new pair of Pallas cats, Nicholas and Alexandra, aren’t full on lasagna—they’re built for the chilly climate of central Asia.
Meet the Pallas pair.

Enjoy Animal Encounters at the Discovery Theater
Alpacas, owls, iguanas, and a certain precocious porcupine will star in the Zoo’s summer blockbuster, Animal Encounters. “Previews” have begun on weekends at noon, 12:30, 2:30, and 3:00 p.m.
Meet our prickly pupil in training, Brody.

  A ’Roo Named Riley
It’s a girl and she goes by Riley! Thanks to all who participated in our online naming contest for Christy and Junior’s bouncy baby ’roo. You can visit Riley and family along the Zoo’s outdoor Discovery Trail.
See Riley stand tall and spring forward on her big feet!
