HAVE A WILD PARTY AT THE ZOO!

The Wildlife Conservation Society's Central Park Zoo provides a unique urban setting for special events: breakfast meetings, cocktail parties, corporate picnics, weddings, bar/batmitzvahs, elegant black tie dinners and much more.

A tranquil oasis in the heart of Manhattan, the Central Park Zoo is the perfect location to "get away from it all" without going away.  Often considered the "Jewel of Manhattan," this venue's unique combination of flora, fauna and architectural design will inspire guests and provide an educational experience for children.

Rain Forest Building
Inside this building you and your guests will enjoy cocktails in a lush and colorful tropical rain forest, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Colobus monkeys, bats, free flying birds and many other exotic creatures.  For groups of up to 150 (cocktails only) year round.

Central Garden
This outdoor formal garden, surrounded by a covered colonnade has spectacular views of the city skyline.  It is perfect for any occasion, from a company family-style picnic to a black-tie wedding reception.  Host your cocktails around the sea lion pool, then move closer to the snow monkeys for dinner and dancing. The landscaped walkways, which can be tented and heated for any occasion, can accommodate up to 640 people for a seated dinner and 1,200 for cocktails, year-round.

Intelligence Garden
This hidden garden, named after the zoological collection of an early Chinese emperor, is a lovely setting for a tented dinner or reception.  For groups of up to 100, from 6:30pm to midnight.

Penguin Building
Guests will enjoy watching puffins and two species of penguin frolic through this simulated icy Antarctic environment.  A romantic and unique setting for black tie affairs. Up to 60 people for cocktails and 50 for a seated dinner, hours for event
dependent upon season.

Zoo Gallery
Situated inside the Central Park Zoo, this attractive space is available for breakfasts, luncheons, presentations and lectures.  Collection of artworks by select artists decorate the walls.  The Zoo Gallery can accommodate 80 guests auditorium-style and 50, seated for a catered function.  Available audiovisual equipment includes PowerPoint projector, television, VCR, microphone, speakers, screen, slide projector and podium.  This room has its own temperature control, unisex bathroom and natural light.  Included in the cost of an event is a tour of the Main Zoo led by one of our wildlife guides.
